Passport & Visa Requirements
All foreigners require a visa to enter Nepal, except Indian nationals. You can obtain it from a Nepalese embassy overseas or on arrival in Kathmandu. Most travelers obtain their visa upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all adventure packages. Trekking in high-altitude regions carries risks such as illness, injuries, and altitude sickness. Travel insurance provides coverage for:

- Emergency helicopter/air ambulance rescues
- Ground evacuation and personal liability

Trip Meal Plan
Meals are an essential part of your journey. Travelers will enjoy:
- Traditional Nepalese meals like Dal Bhat (rice and lentils)

- Breakfast and dinner at teahouses/lodges, lunch at trailside restaurants

- Mountain trails: Standard teahouses with private/twin rooms, basic facilities, shared bathrooms, and running water

- Recommended: Carry wet wipes and small essentials for convenience
Best Time to Visit Nepal
- Autumn (Sept-Nov) and Spring (Mar-May): Clear skies, pleasant weather, ideal trekking
- Monsoon (Jun-Aug): Less crowded, lush landscapes, good for botanical enthusiasts

Altitude & Acclimatization
- Altitude: Height above sea level; higher altitudes have lower air pressure and oxygen levels
- Acclimatization: Gradual ascent over several days reduces risk of altitude sickness
- Symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS): Headache, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, insomnia
- Treatment: Rest, hydration, medication (Ibuprofen, Diamox™), oxygen if necessary, or descent to a lower altitude
Health & Safety
- Vaccinations recommended: Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid, Hepatitis A
- Major emergencies: Nepal may experience earthquakes, landslides, floods; carry a first aid kit
- Legal compliance: Avoid photographing restricted areas and illegal activities
