Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all adventure packages. Trekking in high-altitude regions carries risks such as illness, injuries, and altitude sickness. Travel insurance provides coverage for:

  • Personal accidents and medical expenses
  • Emergency helicopter/air ambulance rescues
  • Ground evacuation and personal liability

Having proper travel insurance ensures peace of mind and protection during your adventure.

Trip Meal Plan

Meals are an essential part of your journey. Travelers will enjoy:

  • Traditional Nepalese meals like Dal Bhat (rice and lentils)
  • Local and international dishes: vegetables, noodles, pizza, pasta, French fries
  • Breakfast and dinner at teahouses/lodges, lunch at trailside restaurants
  • Special diets and allergies accommodated on request
  • Fresh fruit is supplied along trails; food quality is closely monitored

Trip Accommodation

  • Kathmandu: 4-star hotels
  • Mountain trails: Standard teahouses with private/twin rooms, basic facilities, shared bathrooms, and running water
  • Dining rooms are cozy and often heated; electricity is available for small appliances (sometimes at a nominal fee)
  • Recommended: Carry wet wipes and small essentials for convenience

Best Time to Visit Nepal

  • Autumn (Sept-Nov) and Spring (Mar-May): Clear skies, pleasant weather, ideal trekking
  • Monsoon (Jun-Aug): Less crowded, lush landscapes, good for botanical enthusiasts
  • Winter (Dec-Feb): Fewer trekkers, cold temperatures, snow at higher elevations
  • Climate can be unpredictable; always prepare for exceptions

Our trained guides ensure smooth and safe trips, sharing cultural insights along the way. Staff training includes:

Altitude & Acclimatization

  • Altitude: Height above sea level; higher altitudes have lower air pressure and oxygen levels
  • Acclimatization: Gradual ascent over several days reduces risk of altitude sickness
  • Symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS): Headache, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, insomnia
  • Treatment: Rest, hydration, medication (Ibuprofen, Diamox™), oxygen if necessary, or descent to a lower altitude

Health & Safety

  • Vaccinations recommended: Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid, Hepatitis A
  • Major emergencies: Nepal may experience earthquakes, landslides, floods; carry a first aid kit
  • Legal compliance: Avoid photographing restricted areas and illegal activities
  • Currency: ATMs widely available in Kathmandu; carry cash for remote areas
  • Transport: Use registered taxis to avoid overcharging
  • Rescue Services: Helicopter evacuation arranged if needed (ensure insurance covers this)

Extra Expenses

Plan for personal expenses: cold beverages, extra meals, souvenirs (~US$20-30/day)
