Good to Know
The trip starts with Kathmandu, where the visitors can see the cultural and spiritual sites of the Nepalese capital. Scenic flights offered as options offer an aerial sightseeing of the Himalayan mountains. In Kathmandu, the journey proceeds with a picturesque journey to Chitwan National Park, where there are immersive activities in the jungle within the best wildlife sanctuary in Asia.
Following Chitwan, the adventure continues to Pokhara, which is the gateway to the Annapurna region. Treks begin at Phedi up to Dhampus, a traditional Gurung village that is blessed with panoramic views of the mountain and then to Sarangkot that has Himalayan sunrise panoramas. The trip back will cover a sightseeing day in Pokhar, followed by a relaxation day and then a short domestic flight to Kathmandu and then a farewell dinner.
The most suitable times to visit Nepal are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). The weather is clear and consistent during these months with no obstructions to the Himalayan ranges such as Annapurna, Dhauligiri and Machapuchare. Spring is the time of blooming rhododendrons on trekking trails, and fall is the time of clear skies and colorful festivals. The rainy season (June-August) also has a lot of rain, and the trails get slippery and therefore less scenic, whereas winters (December-February) can be chill at the higher altitudes, and the scenery is snow-white.

Nepal is a country with the Himalayan mountain ranges rising in the middle of tranquil villages and lively cultures that coexist with untouched nature. Practically, before traveling to a luxury tour which involves exploration of the city and cultural integration, as well as trekking in Dhampus and Sarangkot, there are a few facts and tips that need to be considered by travelers. This area discusses basic details to assist you in planning, packing and enjoying your trip to the maximum levels.
Both cities and trekking regions offer luxury accommodation, so that you are guaranteed to have comfort even during your stay. Hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara have 4-5-star hotels that provide services like Wi-Fi, spa, fine dining, and concierge services. When trekking, lodges in Dhampus and Sarangkot offer comfortable rooms with their own bathrooms, heating facilities, and a scenic view of the mountain. Although they are far, these lodges are a blend of traditional Nepal architecture and modern comforts, which provide tourists with an all-encompassing and enjoyable experience.
The tour will be taking moderate trekking through day-to-day walks of 3 to 5 hours. The level of fitness required is a basic one where the travelers are capable of walking uphill at a slow pace and accept uneven ground. It is important to prepare before the trip by doing some light cardio training, like climbing the stairs or going on brief hikes, to increase stamina. Although the hiking is not physically challenging, the progressive climb of the altitude needs to be paced properly in order to avoid exhaustion or slight symptoms of altitude.
It is extremely necessary to be dressed in layers to adapt to cold and heat on the streets and hilltops, respectively. Breathable trekking clothes, a waterproof jacket, and warmer-up clothes in the morning and evening when the weather is colder. Good grip walking shoes are also necessary, and trekking poles will help in balance and lessen the burden on the knees. Sun protection and hydration accessories such as sunglasses, a sun hat, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle are necessary. For the photography lovers, a lightweight camera with additional batteries is recommended.
The currency of the country is Nepalese Rupee (NPR). Although credit cards are accepted in major hotels, lodges, and restaurants in the urban areas, cash is still accepted in remote locations and small local stores. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, ATMs are generally well distributed, but in the villages, they may be scarce during trekking. Having dollar bills in small denominations will be handy in transactions for local purchases, tips, and souvenirs.
